Overall #Teledensity registered at 75.51% i.e. 93.83 Crore Subscribers with 73.25% of #Wirelessbase i.e. 91.02 Crore Subscribers and 2.27% of #Wirelinebase i.e. 2.82 Crore Subscribers out of Total Population of around 125 Crore.
Total number of Telephone subscribers was 93.83 Crore out of total population of around 125 crore registering 75.51% Tele density during the period.

India Connected : India’s Telecom Subscribers Data for April 2014
The number of telephone subscribers in India increased from 933.00 million at the end of March, 2014 to 935.81 million at the end of April, 2014, thereby showing a monthly growth of 0.30%. The share of urban subscribers has declined from 59.51% to 59.44% whereas share of rural subscribers has increased from 40.49% to 40.56% in the month of April, 2014. The overall Teledensity in India increased from 75.23 at the end of March, 2014 to 75.38 at the end of April, 2014.
Total wireless subscriber base increased from 904.51 million in March, 2014 to 907.44 million at the end of April, 2014, registering a monthly growth of 0.32%. The overall wireless Teledensity in India has increased from 72.94 at the end of March, 2014 to 73.10 at the end of April, 2014.
Wireline subscriber base declined from 28.49 million at the end of March, 2014 to 28.36 Million at the end of April, 2014. Net reduction in wireline subscriber base was 0.12 million at the decline rate of 0.44%. The overall wireline Tele-density has slightly decreased from 2.30 in March, 2014 to 2.28 in April, 2014
