Indian Petrol price cut by Rs 3 per litre on 30th April 2013 steepest reduction in price in 5 years since December 2008 when prices were slashed by Rs 5 to Rs 45.62 per litre.
The fourth reduction in petrol price since March due to falling international oil prices

State-owned oil firms revise petrol prices every fortnight
Earlier petrol price were cut on April 16 by Rs 1.20 a litre than on March 16, the prices were cut by Rs 2.40 per litre and by Re 1 in the following fortnight.
